Amanda M. Comas

Amanda Comas joined the firm in 2024 and brings valuable litigation experience to the commercial litigation group. She focuses her practice on complex civil and commercial matters, including business disputes, real estate litigation, and contract claims. Amanda is known for her strengths in case management, legal research, persuasive writing, and courtroom advocacy, including motion practice and trial preparation. She is also well-versed in alternative dispute resolution, having negotiated favorable settlements and participated in mediations throughout her career.

Before joining the firm, Amanda represented clients in a variety of civil litigation and family law matters at a boutique firm in Miami. She has also advised on emerging legal issues at the intersection of securities law and blockchain technology. Amanda is particularly interested in appellate advocacy and honed her skills as Vice President of the University of Miami School of Law’s Moot Court Board, where she earned recognition for her oral and written advocacy. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Amanda worked in executive operations at a high-growth healthcare technology company, where she was recognized with the company’s Circle of Excellence Innovator Award.

Amanda, a proud Cuban American, is a native Spanish speaker and writer who enjoys reading, concerts, and traveling.

Though all cases vary and none is predictive, Amanda’s recent experience includes:

  • Represented real estate entities in complex litigation arising from multi-party transactions involving high-value South Florida properties.
  • Represented stakeholders in derivative and direct actions involving condominium association governance and fiduciary breaches.
  • Defended corporate client against putative class action litigation relating to marketing and consumer protection laws.
  • Assisted healthcare technology company in litigation involving federal regulatory issues and disputes with a technology vendor.
  • Represented construction company in commercial contract litigation.
  • Managed state and federal litigation concerning violations of debt collection laws.
